"Into the bunker"

Films: Pod (2015)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Haunted Home

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Most of the time, government conspiracy theorists are a little on the crackpot side of things, if only because there's no way politicians could come up with any sort of intelligent evil (at least not these days). But boy, do we hate being proven wrong. There are some things that are best left hidden forever.

History: According to paranoid ex-veteran Martin, the government has attempted to breed a race of supremely strong pod people capable of assassination unlike any human can do. He found one in the woods of Maine, and has locked the beast up in his home, along with himself. When his siblings arrive, they are skeptical of his ravings. But then they unwittingly release it...

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: The monster is seemingly shot to death, but after a government official kills the survivors and alerts his superiors to the being's location, it rises again to kill him. At the very least, the government might be pressured into cleaning up their mess permanently.

Powers/Abilities: This thing secretes a special poison that has hallucinogenic effects. Also, it's near-invulnerable.

Weakness: Heavy artillery, though conventional means can slow it down.

Scariness Factor: 4-We would sincerely, genuinely like to know exactly what the f*ck the Man was thinking when the experiments that led to this monstrosity were conducted. Looking like a rotted zombie, this durable being is as savage as it is unrelenting. And that jump scare at the very end...better turn the volume down for a while when you get there.

Trivia: -Apparently, the monster's roars were just edited versions of the cast/crew's screaming. As if it couldn’t get any more disturbing.

-This film was partially inspired by the "Silent Hill" franchise. In fact, one sound effect in here is directly from the item menu from one of the games.
